From inception, Cerebrus
has been focused on the Capital
& Commodity Market Segment in India. In
the last year, this focus has been expanded to Market
segments in the neighboring Countries also.
Within the Capital Market Segment, the focus has been
on Applications for:
- Trading Member / Clearing Member Back
Office (Equities & Derivatives Segments).
As of date there are more than 180
live sites of our Stock Market Applications across
the Northern & Western parts of the Country.
Beginning December 2002,
we have been actively pursuing the Back Office Segment
for the emerging Commodities Segment in India. The activities
that have been conducted during this pursuit are:
- Follow-up with the various Registered (i.e. NMCEIL,
NBOT, BCE, NCDEX & MCX) & unregistered
Commodity Exchanges & associations in Northern
& Western India.
- Follow-up with the regulatory body i.e. FMC.
- Follow-up with the Commodities Segment Trading
members as of date.
- Track the activities of the various initiatives
of the Task forces setup
by the Government of India.
These exercises have been for:
- Better understanding of the Commodity Market segment
in general.
- Be able to visualize the IT needs of the Segment
in particular.
- Be able to deliver a full blown Back Office application
for the Commodities segment.
With this as the background & with our experience
in the Stock Market Back Office segment, we have designed
a Member Back Office Application for the Commodities
segment christened – Octagon. |
